Horse Boarding Options

Self-Care Stall Boarding — $600 / month

Includes:

  • Private stall in a well-ventilated barn 
  • Access to designated turnout areas 
  • Water and electric access 
  • Secure, private property 
  • Storage space for feed and supplies
     

Owner Responsibilities:

  • Feed and hay
  • Stall cleaning 
  • Daily care and turnout
  • Supplements
  • Vet and farrier coordination
     

Limited availability. Long-term, responsible boarders only.

Seasonal Pasture Boarding (Short-Term Only) — $250 / week

Available April through October, seasonal pasture boarding is offered on a limited, short-term basis only.

  • Limited to 1–2 horses at a time 
  • Owners provide feed and daily monitoring 
  • Water and shaded pasture access
  • No winter pasture boarding 
  • Designed for temporary stays, not long-term turnout
     

Availability is intentionally limited to protect pasture quality and maintain a low-density environment.

Overnight / Short-Term Boarding — $100 per night

Maximum stay: 3 nights

Includes:

  • Private stall 
  • Small paddock for supervised turnout 
  • Trailer parking during stay 
  • Secure, quiet environment

 

Requirements:

  • 24-hour advance notice 
  • Current Coggins 
  • Self-care only 
  • Owner supplies feed and hay 
  • Stall must be cleaned prior to departure 
  • No unsupervised pasture use

 

Ideal for travelers passing through the area, or for short-term stays related to buying or selling a horse.

Trailer Parking

  • Monthly boarders: $40/month per trailer
  • Overnight guests: Trailer parking included for stays up to 3 nights
  • No long-term trailer storage for non-boarders

NC Equine Liability Law — Chapter 99E

Under North Carolina law, an equine activity sponsor or equine professional is not liable for injury or death resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities.
