About Our Family-Run Horse Boarding Facility
Our Story
Emily’s Equine & Adventures, named after our daughter Emily, embodies our family's approach to equine care on this property. What started as our home and working land has evolved into a small, family-run boarding facility in North Carolina, focused on responsibility, respect for animals, and maintaining a calm, well-managed environment.
We intentionally operate at low capacity, which allows us to keep the property clean, the pasture healthy, and the barn quiet. We believe that horse boarding works best when owners are hands-on, communicative, and respectful of shared spaces. As a self-care facility, we expect owners to actively participate in their horse’s daily care and remain attentive to the condition of the barn and grounds.
Since this is our family property, we place a strong emphasis on safety and compatibility. Horses must be manageable in a shared environment and able to coexist with other animals, normal farm activity, and people coming and going. This is not a high-traffic facility, lesson barn, or training operation, and it is not designed for horses requiring constant supervision or specialized handling.
All boarding is by inquiry and approval only. Our goal is to maintain a setting that works well for the horses, their owners, and our family, prioritizing long-term fit over merely filling stalls.
